Karol, a consultant oncologist at Hammersmith Hospital, London, chief medical director of Britain’s largest independent network of innovative cancer treatment centres, Rutherford Health plc – formerly Proton Partners International – and dean of the University of Buckingham Medical School, provides vital expertise in oncology and therapeutics. He launched CancerPartnersUK and was chief of the World Health Organisation’s Cancer Programme between 1997 and 1999. Karol has also been an adviser to the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency.
