We are passionate about protecting the natural biodiversity across the planet, because the variety of venomous animals throughout nature is the very thing that gives us our success.

We only source animals from responsible breeders and suppliers. Not only is this morally the right thing to do for the species and the wider biodiversity, but it also brings more value to us since these animals are usually less stressed and therefore healthier. Our sourcing strategy means our living collection is always compliant with The Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-sharing, and we are in continual contact with the UK government to maintain this status as it continues to be rolled out, adopted and adapted.

Venomtech co-chairs the Hazardous Invertebrate Sub-Group (HazISG) of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ (BIAZAs) Terrestrial Invertebrate Working Group (TIWG). In addition, our founder, Steve Trim, is chair of the Terrestrial Invertebrate Working Group (TWIG). In addition, our founder, Steve Trim, is the chair of the Veterinary Invertebrate Society (VIS), and all our laboratory staff are VIS members.
