Venomtech CSO Steve Trim publishes a new book chapter in Progress in Medicinal Chemistry
Venomtech CSO Steve Trim publishes a new book chapter in Progress in Medicinal Chemistry.
Our Founder and Chief Scientific Officer, Steve Trim received good news on the acceptance of the publication of a novel book chapter in Progress in Medicinal Chemistry. The chapter is titled “Utilisation of compounds from venoms in drug discovery” – view the preview here.
This chapter highlights the challenges in drug discovery faced by many researchers and industries today, particularly as a result of difficult drug targets. The venom systems that have evolved from snakes, spiders, scorpions, jellyfish, wasps, fish and even mammals contain molecules which are proven to be useful tools.
Did you know that venom peptides present opportunities for larger target engagement surfaces with greater stability than antibodies and human peptides? Interested in finding out more? Then take a look at the new book chapter! Contact us on [email protected] to find out more about our products and services to help you find the solution to common drug discovery challenges.
