Venom A-Z W is for Western Diamondback
Venom A-Z W is for Western Diamondback – the common name of Crotalus atrox. A common species across the Southern United States, it carries a veritable protein library of a venom which is a source of the antihypertensive protein Hypotensin, as well many other described proteins including antitumour proteins such as Crotoxin and phospholipases.
